First Training Ride
Dave has been working incredibly hard to get the bikes ready. Last weekend we took our first ride of the year. We went to the farm for lunch, and then back home via a cool old cemetary and some scenic routes. The total mileage was about 26 miles -- we aren't sure exactly because we couldn't get the odometer to work for the first six or eight miles. Exciting, but also daunting. I'm not sure I'm physically ready for what we're about to do.

It's exhausting to think of the gazillions of miles that lie ahead but I'll follow you faithfully from the comfort of my computer chair! Can't find the right words to tell you how happy I am for all of you and excited too. As was your first trip, Liv, this will be a life-time memory that will surely affect each of your personal views of our complicated world, just as all your other travels have. If "travel is the best educator," as my grandfather always said, you will all be (are) geniuses. Safe travels to you!!!
