A beach day
Today was a slow cruise from one island to the next, with wonderful tail winds and hours spent at the beach.
After a leisurely start from our campground -
We enjoyed some of our easiest riding to date along the dikes of Holland, and we really enjoyed watching the kite surfers on their foil boards zooming along without any wakes, and flying through the air at will. No pictures of that due to my impeccable lack of timing-
After a few miles, we spent most of the day at the beach playing and reading-
The parking area for the beach access was almost full when we left -
And now it is another lovely camping experience, cheek by jowl with neighbors only a few feet away enjoying lively conversation at 11 pm. Good times. These are very crowded islands which might be nicer in a lower season....
Tomorrow we stop at the museum explaining the whole waterworks of Holland and apparently a seal rescue center. Looking forward!

Sounds nearly perfect. A day you won't forget. The museum will be fascinating. Glad you're managing to coexist with the Gesa/Christof crew. Fun times!
ReplyDeleteRuby is looking so tall! And has an actual hard-copy book. Wonderful news about the tailwind.
ReplyDeleteTailwinds!! Woohoo! Looks like it was a wonderful, relaxing day with LOTS of people around. Love that bike parking lot! The seal rescue center will be fun.
