Iceland

Just a quick update to say that we made it to Iceland.A huge thanks to Hilary and Stephen for hosting us for the past two nights and giving us an opportunity to get packed and organized for today’s flight. What gracious and generous hosts!

Dave did a masterful job packing the bikes, of course. Each box was 2-2.5 kilos under the maximum weight. Somehow he managed to fit all three into a Ford van, and Neil and Gilly from the local garage gave us a ride to the airport.

Getting into Gatwick was a little challenging...

The bikes and associated gear are in storage for the next four days while we explore this windy, volcanic island. Looking forward to a soak in a hot pool first thing tomorrow morning.
Hope we have enough warm clothes!

  3. Now the holiday begins! Incredible job with the logistics of moving from England to Iceland. I told Molly about your return and she's prancing around like a puppy! Enjoy!
